he Abbot of Vertot in 1655 the Abbot of Vertot was born in the
manor.
He used to love the serenity and the refinement of this place.
Louis XIV gave him the rank of "Academician". He also
earned the distinction of Commander and Official Historiographer
of the prestigious Order of the Knights of Malta.
At the end of his life, he was the personnal
assistant to the Duc d'Orléans and died in 1735 at the
Palais Royal in Paris.
